When the NFL season kicks off on Sept. 11, Sunday Night Football will retire âWaiting All Day for Sunday Night,â the theme song based on Joan Jettâs âI Hate Myself for Loving Youâ that popular artists like Pink, Faith Hill and Carrie Underwood have covered over the past 10 years.
Itâs out with the old and in with the new as Carrie recorded the programâs new theme, âOh, Sunday Night,â which is based on her 2014 duet with Miranda Lambert, âSomethinâ Bad.â Carrie is in her fourth season performing SNFâs theme song.
âI love being part of the Sunday Night Football family and canât wait for the fans to hear the new theme song,â said Carrie in a press release.
Now, fans can hear âOh, Sunday Nightâ right here, and donât forget to tune in on Sept. 11 for the debut of âOh, Sunday Nightâ with Carrie and 12 of her NFL-playing friends, including Eli Manning, Russell Wilson, Von Miller, Clay Matthews, Odell Beckham Jr., Antonio Brown and more.
New song. New season.
